Bent Tree Golf ... one of the most beautiful and challenging courses in North Georgia
The Course Beckons...
Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the golf course at Bent Tree is one of North Georgia’s most beautiful 18-hole championship courses. The Joe Lee designed course meanders through the base of several mountains, past waterfalls, mountain streams, and brooks, boldly confronting the broad shoulder of Sharp Top Mountain. Although golf carts are available to rent, many of our residents prefer to drive their own cart which they may use on the course and throughout the community.
Golf At A Glance...
Being one of North Georgia's best golf courses doesn't mean that we are expensive. Whether an avid golfer or just enjoy a social round with friends, we have the right level of membership for you.
Our active MGA, LGA golf groups and club events provide everyone with an opportunity to join in on the fun. Whether an experienced player or beginner, we have a group for you to join. In addition to member play, we also host corporate and charity events throughout the year.
The Tavern on the 19th Hole is situated at the heart of Bent Tree. We create innovative and fun twists on traditional favorites, delivered in a warm and inviting pub-like surrounding. Join us for lunch or dinner. The Tavern is the ideal place to gather round and enjoy one's company.
Tour The Course...
Bent Tree Golf is a challenging 18 holes - a par 72 course measuring 6410 yards from the Blue tees with a 71.6/133 rating, White tees at 5765 yards (68.5/125 rating), and Forward tees, measuring 4810 yards (64.2/113 rating). There are other combinations affording nine different playing positions.
Hole #1 - 352 Yards Par 4
Uphill, slight dogleg left Par 4, with a fairly generous landing area. Second shot is to an elevated, two-level green, with a large bunker on the left, and out of bounds on the right.
Hole #2 - 379 Yards Par 4
From an elevated tee, drive into the narrowest fairway on the course, with a fairway bunker and creek to the right, and trees and large hill to the left. Second shot is to a small, elevated green with bunkers front, right, and rear.
Hole #3 - 292 Yards, Par 4
Short but demanding hole, with the most severely sloping green on the course. Fairway bunker on right, with a creek beyond, hill and thick rough on left. Second shot must carry the large front bunker, but also stop short of the hole.
Hole #4 - 124 Yards Par 3
Tee shot is to a deceptively uphill, very small green, with a creek right and behind. Any shot not carrying to the top of the front slope will not stay on the green.
Hole #5 - 465 Yards Par 5
Drive from an elevated tee through a chute in trees to a generous fairway, guarded by a fairway bunker, trees and creek on the right, and out of bounds and trees on left. The large, elevated two-tiered green has a deep bunker in front, left and rear, with the creek close in on the right side.
Hole #6 - 379 Yards Par 4
Sharp dogleg left, with large bunker and tree guarding the inside of the dogleg. Second shot is uphill to an elevated green that slopes sharply right to left, and guarded by large bunkers front and rear.
Hole #7 - 210 Yards Par 3
Our signature hole, this large green is reached by crossing a lake in front, and avoiding the large, deep bunker left. Area around the green falls off severely to the left and behind to heavily wooded areas.
Hole #8 - 616 Yards Par 5
From an elevated tee, drive is to the widest fairway on the course, but with a deep hole on the left, and a bunker and ravine to the right. The second shot must be placed somewhere near the 150 yard marker or so, where a fairway bunker is to the left, and a steep hill to the right. The green is elevated with steep bunkers left and front right, and right rear.
Hole #9 - 338 Yards Par 4
Short, straight hole, downhill off the tee, but then uphill to a severely sloping green from back to front. The green has deep bunkers front left, and all along the right side.
Hole #10 - 578 Yards Par 5
From an elevated tee, drive to a narrow fairway with a hill and woods on right, and a fairway bunker and out of bounds on left. Second shot is to an even narrower portion of tree-lined fairway with another bunker and ravine to the left. Green is long and narrow, well guarded by bunkers front, left and right.
Hole #11 - 360 Yards Par 4
Elevated tee to a dogleg right fairway, with a semi-hidden pond on the left, and woods and out of bounds to the right. The two-level green is elevated and well guarded by bunkers front, left and right.
Hole #12 - 395 Yards Par 4
Drive is to a slightly uphill fairway with fairway bunkers and a ravine to the left, and woods and creek to the right. Second shot is uphill to a long, narrow green with bunkers front, left and right.
Hole #13 - 164 Yards Par 3
Uphill hole to a large two-tiered green with two bunkers and a creek to the left, and a ravine and creek to the right. Staying short of the hole is a big plus.
Hole #14 - 474 Yards Par 5
From elevated tee, drive to downward sloping, narrow fairway with woods and creek all along the left side, and a bunker and out of bounds on the right. Second shot must be either placed in front of the creek which crosses the fairway about 40 yards in front of the elevated, heavily bunkered green, or carry the green.
Hole #15 - 361 Yards Par 4
Short, downhill dogleg left with a creek and woods along the entire left side, and woods to the right. Two fairway bunkers guard the outside of the dogleg. Second shot must hold the front to back sloping green, with bunkers front, back and both sides.
Hole #16 - 149 Yards Par 3
Slightly downhill par three. Area around the green falls away to all sides, with bunkers front left, front, and right. Long shots will run over green into a creek.
Hole #17 - 334 Yards Par 4
Slight dogleg left hole, with woods and a creek along entire left side, and crossing the fairway 65 yards from the elevated green, which is bunkered all around. To the right are woods and out of bounds, and a fairway bunker. The creek is crossed through a wooden, covered bridge.
Hole #18 - 440 Yards Par 4
From an elevated tee, drive is to an uphill, left to right sloping fairway, with woods along entire left and right sides, and a large fairway bunker on the right. Uphill second shot to a long, narrow green, with two bunkers to the right side.
